After postponing the grand opening several times due to the 2004 tsunami, the mall opened in 2007. Another popular shopping area is the Patong OTOP Shopping Paradise. This shopping market sells copies of popular brands of clothing and other mass-produced items like many of the other locations in Phuket, and there is a wide variety of items to choose from.
